GENEVA- Gaspar G. Santiago, age 92, of Geneva passed away on Friday November 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday (Nov. 21) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Thomas P. Mull will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery

Gaspar was born on February 3, 1926 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico the son of the late Gaspar and Esthervina Galarza Santiago. He served in the US Army during the Korean War overseas in Korea and retired after 30 years from the Seneca Army Depot.

Gaspar was a loving father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his daughters, Geisha (Johnny) Robinson, Jacqueline (Thomas) Coleman and Esthervina “Cindy” Mallard; grandchildren, Christopher Gay, Timothy Gay, Alyssa (Cheagan Wilson, Sr.) Coleman, Jade Mallard and Shanice Coleman; great-grandchildren, TyTiana, Alexah, Trinity and Cheagan, Jr.; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews
