Valentino G. Perry

LYONS- Valentino G. Perry, age 87 of Lyons passed away on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Geneva General Hospital.

There will be no prior calling hours. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Val was born on February 14, 1930 in Geneva the son of the late Pasquale and Carmella Guerrie Perry. He attended Geneva High School and served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953. He was a hardworking man his entire life who was happiest when he was working with a shovel in his hand.

Val was a former member of the Laborers union local 103 and was working for Sullivan Trials out of Elmira when he retired. He was a member of the Northside Fire Department and the American Legion in Lyons.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Allyn Hess Perry; daughter, Linda (Paul) Spencer of Lyons; grandchildren, Ian Spencer of Pittsburg, PA and Seth Spencer of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Mona Perry of Geneva and all his beloved nieces and nephews.

Val was predeceased by his 7 sisters, Angelina Gillotti, Anna Zeck, Nancy Chittister, Theresa Perry, Mary Perry, Rose DeMetro and Catherine Kay Perry; his 4 brothers, Michael, Samuel, Anthony and Joseph Perry.
