GENEVA- Dorothy I. Deland, age 92 of Geneva passed away on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Geneva General Hospital.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday (Oct.6) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral services will be held Saturday (Oct. 7) at 11:00 a.m. at the Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church on Pre- Emption Rd. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church PO Box 6 Oaks Corners, NY 14518.

Dorothy was born on July 20, 1925 in Waterloo the daughter of the late Kenneth and Edith Sharp Aikens. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School and worked at the Seneca Army Depot and later went onto to own and operate the Lyons Road Fruit Stand for many years.

She was a member of the Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church and the Waterloo Sportsman Club.

She is survived by her sons, Bernard (Mary) Deland of Phelps and William K. (Donna) DeLand of Geneva; grandchildren, Carolyn (Jason) Stock, Kenneth (Jennifer) DeLand, Cathy (Andy) Terwilliger, and William “Chip” (Julie) DeLand; great-grandchildren, Allysa Stock, Kenneth Deland, Austin Deland, Jerome Morse, Keyana Williams, Casandra Terwilliger, Kaylen Terwilliger, Lauren Terwilliger, Andrew “Drew” DeLand, Jeremiah Terwilliger, Spencer Terwilliger, Dylan Schmidt and Alayna Schmidt; many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Bernard E. DeLand, Sr.; brothers, Richard Aikens and Charles Aikens; sister, Marian Giles.
