Wendi Sue Becker (Norman)

GENEVA- Wendi Sue Becker (Norman), 57 of Geneva passed away on Wednesday August 2, 2017 from a brief illness at home surrounded by her close family.

There will be no prior calling hours. Services will be held at a later date to be announced at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Ontario-Yates Hospice 756 Pre-Emption Rd. Geneva, NY 14456.

Wendi was born on January 25, 1960 in Columbus Ohio. She had a passion for caring for the terminal and the elderly from a young age. Wendi began her medical career as a Candy Striper and graduated from Marion S. Whelan, a prestigious nursing school 3rd in her class as an L.P.N. in the early 80’s.

Wendi had many heartfelt passions. She had a love for her children and would “adopt” neighborhood children who were less fortunate. She also had a deep love for animals and adopted rescues.
Wendi loved the outdoors and spent her summers camping and fishing. She was also very well-traveled, as her father was a lifelong enlisted member of the Army.

Wendi is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ricky B. Becker of Geneva; her children, Staci (Rob) Braungart-Fry of Seneca Falls and Sean Becker of Geneva; 6 grandchildren; brothers, “Chip” (shelly) Norman and John (Heather) Norman both of Ohio;12 nieces and nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dow Donald Norman and Sandra Sue (nee’ Sauders) Norman of Ohio and her brother, Steven “Alex” Norman of Ohio.
