GENEVA- Murel M. Iannopollo, age 92 of Geneva went to eternal rest to be with her loving husband of 71 years on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Rochester General Hospital.

There will be no prior calling hours. Private funeral services will be held at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.

Murel was born on January 24, 1925 in Dover Tennessee the daughter of the late Vinnie and Eunice Ezelle Brunson. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Murel was well known for her caustic wit and her caring nature.

She is survived by her children, Terry Soccio of Geneva, Joseph (Roxanne) Iannopollo of Stanley, Toni (David Strouse) Iannopollo of Waterloo, Cosmo (Yolanda) Iannopollo, Jr. of Border City and David (Norma Ryan) Iannopollo of Syracuse; grandchildren, William, Joseph, Steven, Cosmo III and Andrea; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma Lou Smith and Janelle Jones both of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

Murel was predeceased by her husband Cosmo F. Iannopollo; sisters, Levene and Dorothy.
