Thomas A. “Zip” Mazzocchi, Sr.
GENEVA- Thomas A. “Zip“ Mazzocchi, Sr. age 57 of Geneva passed away on Monday January 30, 2017 at home.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday (Feb.3) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Feb.4) with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Zip born on October 1, 1959 in Geneva the son of the late Antonio and Joanne Swift Mazzocchi. He graduated from Geneva High School and was a member of the Laborers Union Local 103 for many years before going on to become a self-employed Contractor.
Zip was a devoted father, grandfather and sports enthusiast and coached Geneva Little League Baseball for over 10 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and cooking for his family.
He is survived by, Paula Alexander of Geneva; his children, Tiffany Mazzocchi of Rochester, Mark Spencer of Geneva, Thomas (Amayla) Mazzocchi, Jr. of Geneva, Nicholas Mazzocchi of Geneva, Dominic (Jordyn) Mazzocchi of Buffalo; grandchildren, Samyra and Carmela Mazzocchi, Santino and Romeo Mazzocchi; brother, Robert Mazzocchi of Geneva; sisters, Alaina (Roy) Wilson of Phelps, Wendy Mazzocchi of Geneva, Maria (Steve) Strouse of Geneva; several nieces and nephews.
