GENEVA- Robert J. “Cork” Corcoran, age 60 of Geneva passed away peacefully on Monday September 12, 2016 at his sister’s home with his family & friends by his side.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday (Sept. 16) at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Bob was born on September 29, 1955 in Geneva the son of the late Thomas and Isabelle Ingram Corcoran. He graduated from DeSales High School and attended Auburn Community College. Cork worked at Super Casuals for over 40 years in both the Seneca Falls and Geneva stores.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church, Knights of Columbus Council 272 Geneva, Ancient Order of Hibernians Rev. Michael McHale Division and the Nester Hose Company of the Geneva Fire Department.

Cork was a diehard fan of Notre Dame Football, Oakland Raiders and the Boston Red Sox with his hero being Big Papi.

Bob is survived by a sister, Patricia Corcoran Jones of Geneva; a brother, Thomas P. (Patricia ) Corcoran of Elmira; nephew, Stephen (Jami Baran) Jones of Waterloo; Nieces, Christine (Ethan) Todd of Mooresville, NC, Meghan (Michael Richard) Corcoran-Barlotta of Morris Plains, NJ; great-nephews & great-niece, Nicholas Jones, Nathan and Gavin Todd, Mia and Michael Barlotta, Preston and Parker Jones; host of friends throughout the area.

Cork was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Isabelle Corcoran.
