Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather

Geneva – William H. Fryer, age 82 of Geneva, passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2016 in Geneva General Hospital.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (April 2) at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to; Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Francis-St. Stephens School or a charity of choice.

Bill was born on September 23, 1933 in Geneva the son of the late William and Mary Murphy Fryer. He served in the US Marines, receiving several medals during the Korean War. Bill was a devoted worker retiring after 44 years from the US Post Office as a Mail Carrier and worked at McCurdy’s, Peebles and Geneva General Hospital.

He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and American Legion Winnek Post 396. Bill enjoyed traveling especially every year to Cape Cod, which was his and Loretta’s favorite and special place, bowling, playing horseshoes, St. Louis Cardinals and a huge fan of Notre Dame Football.

He is survived by his wife Loretta; children, Deborah (Cris) Crisanti of Geneva, Vinnie (Christine) Verzella of Victor and Beverly (Sam Krofssik) Fryer of Geneva; grandchildren, Rebecca DeRaddo, John DeRaddo, Jaelyn, Gabriel and Abree Verzella, Bryn Fryer.

Bill was predeceased by a son, William Fryer; his sister, Betty Lucia.
