Geneva; Bette Ann Enders, age 78 of Geneva passed away on Saturday January 9, 2016 at the Geneva Living Center South.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (Jan 12) at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.

Bette was born on November 4, 1937 in Rockville Centre, NY the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Mills Enders. She graduated from Phelps Central School in 1955 and served in the US Navy receiving her Honorable Discharge in 1957. Bette graduated from the Geneva School of Practical Nursing in 1966 and worked in Dr. Tiechner’s office and in 1976 she began work for many years as an Administrative Assistant at the Geneva Police Department.

Bette was lovingly known by her family as Aunt Susie and survived by her sister, Barbara (Gerald) Schafer of Phelps; nieces and nephews, Liz Schafer of Vermont, Wendy (Chris) Montreuil of Moravia, Jon Schafer of Phelps and Jeff Schafer of Phelps; great-nieces and great-nephews, Spencer March, Jennifer March, Scott (Stephanie) Montreuil, Andrew (Marie) Montreuil, Kristen (Dan) O’Connell, Holly (Josh) Fagner, Stephen Schafer and Jacob Schafer; several close friends.
