Geneva; Shirley F. Augustine, age 76 of Geneva passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015 at Geneva General Hospital with her family by her side.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday (Sept. 4) at 11:00 a.m. at. St. Francis deSales Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Shirley was born on July 7, 1939 in Bellona the daughter of the late Lawrence and Thalia Decker Balistreri. She retired after many years from Valero Energy in Corpus Christi, TX. Shirley returned to Geneva and was a member of St. Francis deSales Church, Sons of Italy G.A.I.L Lodge 2397A and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her children, Mark Augustine, John Augustine, Michelle Augustine and Jamie (Pattie) Augustine; grandchildren, Mark, Tony, Matthew, Phillip, Justina, Ryan, Justin, Ciara, Joshua, Lauren, Jennifer and Patrick; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy (Carol) Balistreri; brother-in-law, Thomas Quartaro; several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was predeceased by her sister Marcia Quartaro; brother, Leo Balistreri.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Geneva General Hospital for the loving and professional care that they extended to Shirley. It will never be forgotten by her family.
