Geneva; Lawrence E. Wetherbee, age 65 of Washington St. passed away on Saturday June 20, 2015 surrounded by family at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (June 24) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St. Geneva. Members of the Hydrant Hose Company will meet at 6:30 p.m. for a service and members of the Ark Lodge 33 Free & Accepted Masons will meet at 7:00 p.m. for a Masonic Service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday (June25) at 10:00 a.m. at The Presbyterian Church In Geneva 24 Park Place Geneva. The Rev. Dr. Deborah Lind-Schmitz will officiate. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Danae Wetherbee Education Fund c/o Carol Wetherbee 348 Washington St. Geneva, NY 14456

Larry was born on February 16, 1950 in Canandaigua the son of the late Rolin, Jr. and Gertrude Larner Wetherbee. He graduated from Clifton Springs High School and R.I.T. with a degree in Accounting. Larry began his 44 year career in accounting in the Robert Maley Accounting Office which became Fuller & Carrol CPA’s for many years. The firm merged and became Goldstein Fredericksen Sirianni & Fuller, LLP and is now Fredericksen & Sirianni, LLP.

Larry was a member of the Ark Lodge 33 Free & Accepted Masons, the Damascus Shrine of Webster, NY, the Hydrant Hose Company of the Geneva Fire Department and presently serving as Treasurer of the Geneva Firematics Committee. Larry was also presently the Treasurer of the Geneva Boys & Girls Club, Geneva B.I.D, Geneva Community Project and the Ontario County Republican Committee. He was past Treasurer of the Y.M.C.A. Board of Directors and the North Seneca Ducks Unlimited. Past President of the Geneva Kart Club and the Frozen Ocean Kart Club.

He is survived by his wife Carol; children, Michael (Holly Martin) Wetherbee of Dansville, Chad (Amanda) Wetherbee of Shortsville and Danae Wetherbee of Geneva; grandchildren, Mitchell, Sydney, Hasen and Barrett Wetherbee; sister, Carol (Howard) Colegrove of Geneva; father-in-law & mother-in- law, James and Velma Leiby of Dubois, PA; sister-in-laws, Tina (Mark) Luffman of Cottonwood, AZ, Saundra (Greg) King of Cazenovia; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry was predeceased by an infant daughter Danielle.
