Deerfield Beach, FL; Edward P. Kenny, age 65 of Deerfield Beach, FL passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Broward Health North surrounded by his loving family.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday (May23) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday (May 25) at 10:00 a.m.
Ed was born on April 9, 1950 in Canandaigua, NY the son of Edward F. and Ann (Daly) Kenny. He graduated from DeSales High School in 1969. Ed worked for Toner Paving for many years and then opened Kenny Carpet & Linoleum in Geneva. He expanded his flooring business throughout the area and then moved to Florida and opened his current store in Lighthouse Point.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Geneva Athletic Booster Club, Alzheimer’s Association or Humane Society.
Ed was past President of Geneva YMCA and past member of the Board of Directors of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. He was active in the community donating his time and money to DeSales High School and holding an annual golf tournament on their behalf. He sponsored many little league teams and loved making a difference in the community. His big heart was always open to anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Elizabeth (Toner) Kenny; his two loving daughters, Kimberly (William) Kerr of Geneva and Kelly (Steven) Urbano of Boca Raton, FL; his beloved grandchildren, Emily and Jagger Kerr, Anthony, Jacob and Hailey Urbano and Jared Powers; his mother, Ann (Daly) Kenny; 3 sisters, Barbara Tyler and Ann Guerrero of Texas and Alice Barletanni of California; 5 brothers, William, Stephen, Charles, John and Joseph Kenny of Texas; 19 nephews and 6 nieces.

Ed was predeceased by his father, Edward F. Kenny and a nephew Kyle Kenny.
