Geneva; Robert L. "Tex" Harrell, age 75 of Kashong Point passed away on Friday January 30, 2015 at Clifton Springs Hospital after a brief illness and has now joined his beloved wife Karen.


Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (Feb.7) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Bob was born on February 5, 1939 in Lansing, MI the son of the late Donald and Leila Byrd Harrell. He served overseas in the US Army receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1965 at the rank of Sergeant. He retired after many years as a welder with the Sheet Metal Local #46 of Rochester.

Bob loved spending time with his family sharing many stories, his cars and his beloved dog, Addy. Bob was very patriotic who loved his country and paying it forward.

He is survived by his daughters, Shari (Frank) Elscott of Geneva and Mary Beth (Darrin) Seager of Phelps; grandchildren. Jamie (Amy) Chelenza, Allison Castle, Courtnie Elscott, Amanda Elscott and Logan Castle; great-grandson, Caiden Ames Chelenza; many nieces and nephews.

Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Karen; brothers, William and Donald Harrell; sisters, Beverly Waugh and Joanne Meiser.
