Obituary for James E. Feligno

James E. Feligno

Waterloo/Geneva; James E. Feligno, age 55 of Mills Road in Waterloo passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 21, 2014 at Geneva General Hospital.

Family and friends may call Wednesday (June 25) from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. The Nester Hose Company will meet at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday (June 26) with prayers at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Nester Hose Company 207 Genesee St. Geneva, NY 14456.

Jim was born on February 10, 1959 in Geneva the son of the late Joseph and Genevieve Legott Feligno and was a graduate of DeSales High School. Jim was currently working at the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office as a 911 Dispatcher. He also worked part-time as a 911 Dispatcher for the City of Geneva’s Fire and Police Departments.

He was a life member of the Nester Hose Company of the Geneva Fire Department joining in 1977 and served as Captain and President. Jim was a member of St. Stephen’s Church. He loved his wife and family very much and enjoyed spending time with them and traveling. Jim loved hosting parties for family and friends and he was the ultimate party planner.

Jim is survived by his wife, Donna McGloon Feligno; his son, Joe Feligno of Geneva; brothers, Michael (Janet Stockhausen) Feligno of South Park, PA, Thomas (Judy) Feligno of Manchester; sister Anne (Scott) Brown of Geneva; step-children, Stacy Mateo of Geneva, John (Michelle) Mateo, Joshua (Katrina Goff) Mateo, Jaymin Mateo all of Waterloo, Lilly Mikos and Drew Mikos of Canandaigua; step-grandchildren, Kelsie, Kamrin, Keigan, Maliyah, Ariyanna, Tyla, Elijah, Juliana; father-in-law and mother-in-law , Donald and Geraldine McGloon; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, John (Shelly) McGloon of Marcellus, Amy (Dale Kisner) McGloon of Fayette, Mary (Joe) Osterhout of Waterloo, Donald (Melissa) McGloon, Jr. of Waterloo; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
