Jacqueline Fegley Roberts


Geneva; Jacqueline Fegley Roberts, age 81of Geneva passed away on Monday October 14, 2013 at the Huntington Living Center Special Needs Unit in Waterloo.

Family and friends may call from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 17) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral services will be held on Friday (Oct.18) at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. The Very Rev. James Adams, Rector will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Jackie was born on March 30, 1932 in Waterloo the daughter of the late Ross O. and Dorothea Schott Fegley. She was a graduate of Geneva High School Class of 1950. She married John M. Roberts in 1953 and spent her life as a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Jackie was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and later in life became very involved with her church. She also attended monthly luncheons with her GHS classmates, which she enjoyed very much.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri (Dick) Egan, Micki (Soapy) Madia, Sandi Brennan, Jami Roberts; sons, John (Meg Dugan) Roberts, Michael (Pam Vasey) Roberts; grandchildren, Deanna (Kenny) Emblidge, Devon Davoli, Arli (Shannon) Praylor, Jenny Madia, Chelsey (Heather Tompkins) Madia, Eric Madia, Ashli Roberts, Amanda Roberts, Audrey Madia, Michael Jr. (Ashley Teets) Roberts, Dinah Brennan, William Brennan, Kaitlyn Vasey, Kyler Roberts; great-grandchildren; Gia Robinson, Iandre Robinson, Javahnte Harrison, Ahjaleaha Robinson, Hailey Emblidge, Shannon Praylor, Xavier Praylor, Ina Tompkins-Madia, Gianna Roberts; sisters, Barbara (Lee) Zimmerman, Prudence Stevenson; brothers, Philip Fegley, John Fegley; special friends, June, Vicki & Peg; many nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews.

Jackie was predeceased by her husband John; brothers, Ross V. Fegley, Keith Fegley.
