Deborah A. Applebee

Geneva; Deborah A. Applebee, 56 of 116 Garden St. passed away on Saturday March 9, 2013 at home surrounded by her family.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday March 30, 2013 at the Penn Yan Moose Club 301 E. Elm St. Penn Yan. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Finger Lakes Hematology & Oncology 6 Ambulance Drive Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

Deborah was born on December 20, 1956 in Geneva the daughter of Earl “Bill” and Shirley Petersen Stokoe. She worked for many years at her family owned Diner, Bills Home Diner in Dresden and was presently employed as a cook at Geneva General Hospital. Deborah was a member of the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Club. She enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, traveling to New Hampshire, visiting Aunt Sonia & Uncle Marv Garrett in Florida and spending time with family and friends.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Glenn Applebee; sons, Stephen (Heather) LaBarr of Himrod, Erich LaBarr of Rochester; step-son, Todd Crans of Penn Yan; granddaughter, Juliette LaBarr; grandsons, Tristen and Hunter Applebee; father, Earl “Bill” Stokoe of Penn Yan; mother, Shirley (Baldy Allison) Stokoe of Penn Yan; sister, Darlene (Doug) Braman of Penn Yan; brother, Mark (Ronda) Stokoe of Penn Yan several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many co-workers & friends.

The family would like to thank Finger Lakes Hematology & Oncology, Dr. Stephen Ignaczak and Tracy Meyer and Ontario-Yates Hospice, Karen Strickland for all their care to Deborah.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Harold and Agnes Petersen, Earl and Margaret Stokoe.
