Rita John
Geneva; Rita John, 57 of 222 Border City Rd. passed away Saturday Feb 12, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday Feb 16 at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral services will be held Thursday Feb 17 at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the NIH Neurological Institute PO Box 5801 Bethesda, MD 20824 for the research of CADASIL.
Rita was born on November 15, 1953 in Geneva the daughter of the late Stanley C. and Rita Olin Neve. She was a graduate of DeSales High School and had worked for years at Don Allison Athletics in Geneva. Rita was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being a crafter of Afghans and cross stitching and was a former member of the Geneva Appleknockers Color Guard.
She is survived by her 3 children; William F. John, Jr. of Geneva, Holly (Michael) Kinsey of Rochester and Jeff (Jaime) John of Seneca Falls; 4 grandchildren, Amber, Max, Christian and Aidan; former husband and friend, William F. John, Sr. of Geneva; sister, Yvonne (John) Gentile of Cranston, RI; brother, Robert (Kimberly) Neve of Geneva; several nieces and nephews.
Rita was predeceased by a sister, Linda Andrews and a brother, Paul O. Neve.
