GENEVA- Babette R. McCusker, age 92, passed away on Thursday August 30, 2018 at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.

Family and friends will meet at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7th, with funeral services starting at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. W. James Gerling will officiate. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Babette was born on May 4, 1926 in Geneva, the daughter of the late Leroy and Violet Watson Taylor. She graduated from Brighton High School, Brighton, New York, Eastman Dental Dispensary School in Rochester New York for Dental Hygienist and Stephens College in Columbia, MO.

She had a long career as a Dental Hygienist for many years at the Dental office of Dr. Charles Mascari until his retirement and finished her 44-year career with Dr. Joseph Viola.

Babette was very involved with Arts & Crafts with the Merry Mini’s Club and the Wednesday Night Craft Club, she enjoyed creating beautiful decorated eggs, miniatures, dolls and bears.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, James F. McCusker of Mandeville, LA; daughters, Stephanie Samuels of Prattsburg and Lee (Jack) Gold of Mandeville, LA; daughter-in-law, Kathleen McCusker of Geneva; grandchildren, Amy McCusker of Geneva, Matthew (Victoria) McCusker of Geneva, Chad (Anri) McCusker of Geneva and David (Marcie) Altemus of Avon; great-grandchildren, Caiden Chelenza, Brendan, Stella and Sheamus McCusker and Emry McCusker; several nieces and nephews.

Babette was predeceased by her parents and her son, Timothy A. McCusker.
