OSWEGO- Dorothy M. Gordon, 92 passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 2, 2017, surrounded by loving family members.

Honoring Dorothy’s wishes there will be no prior calling hours or services. Private burial will be held in Brookside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Born August 31, 1924 in Geneva, New York to Benjamin and Ethel Merry, she lived her entire life in the Finger Lakes region. A life- long volunteer to a myriad of causes, Dorothy will be remembered for her warmth and concern for whomever she touched. Together with her beloved husband of 52 years, James Gordon, she helped build and operate Willowood Campground in Enfield, N.Y., the first privately owned camping facility in the State. For more than 25 years she rejoiced in the visits of thousands of campers, all of whom she considered to be part of her extended family.

Predeceased by husband Jim in 1995, Dorothy is survived by her children James Gordon, daughter Linda Noun and son Scott Gordon as well as a long and loving list of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and an untold number of dear friends.
