GENEVA; Nancy A. Denison, age 73 of Geneva passed away on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at Geneva General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial will be held on Saturday (Dec. 10) at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Geneva. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter.

Nancy was born on February 25, 1943 in Geneva the daughter of the late Donald A. and Thelma Sweeney Vogt. She was a graduate of Geneva High School class of 1961 and was very involved in the class reunion committee throughout the years.

Nancy began her career designing the window displays in many of the area department stores. After working for several years at Spencer Florist on Hamilton Street she and her husband, Bob bought the business in 1986, they moved into the plaza and renamed the business Plaza Florist which they operated for 18 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a Girl Scout Leader, PTA President and did a lot of work behind the scenes & logistics for the Finger Lakes Chorus.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 49 Years, Robert; daughter, Donna (Michael) Borrelli of Geneva; son, Dale (Elaine) Denison of Geneva; grandchildren, Michenna and Jacob Borrelli, Curtis Denison; brother, James A. (Nancy) Vogt of Geneva; niece, Stephanie A. Vogt of Buffalo; beloved cat, Barnbus; several cousins.
