GENEVA- Jackie O’Neill, 73 of Newark, formerly of Geneva, passed away at home on Friday September 30, 2016 with her family by her side.

In accordance with Jackie’s wishes, there will be no prior calling hours or formal services. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Jackie’s name may be directed to West Shore Dialysis, 305 West Shore Blvd, Newark, NY 14513, Lollypop Farm, PO Box 92297 Rochester, NY 14692-0297 or a charity of ones choice.

Jackie was born on May 29, 1943 in Binghamton, NY the daughter of the late William T. and Margaret M. Carroll.

Jackie was a familiar face to many, as she worked in various Geneva establishments over the years, including The Twin Oaks, Pinky’s and the VFW.
Jackie loved anything Garfield, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. Listening to classic country music, and watching John Wayne movies. She was a multi-sports fan, her favorites being Nascar, Football and Baseball. She was loyal to her teams, The Seattle Seahawks and the NY Mets. The latter causing a loving rivalry between Jackie and her late husband, Jimmy, as he was an avid Boston Red Sox supporter. Jackie was also a long time VFW auxiliary member.

Jackie was a free spirit who lived life on her own terms despite a life-long battle with kidney disease and several other debilitating health issues. She faced it all with a courage not known to many.

Jackie was loved and will be sadly missed by her children, Sandra Zeoli of Newark, Kevin (Wendy) Smith, G. Scott (Kimberly) Smith, both of Geneva, Stephen (Lori) Smith of Seneca Falls, Carol Ann (Paul) Cosentino and Kathleen O’Neill, both of Geneva. Her grandchildren, Christopher (Samantha) Smith, Matthew Zeoli, Rachael Smith Iannapollo, Kaylin (Neil Flack) Smith, Nicholas (Brittny Cure) Wilcox, Ariel Smith, Alyssa (Dan Buckner) Smith, Craig (Michelle) Smith, Cassandra (Jonathan) Wood, Robert Smith, Jordan Smith, Alex Cosentino and Tyler Cosentino. Her great-grandchildren, Ryan M. Smith, Madison Smith, Nathan Iannapollo, Keatan Flack, Reid Flack, Lindsay Wilcox, Carlie Wilcox, Joey Taylor and Henry Buckner. Her brother, William T. (Spencer Ivie) Carroll; her sisters, Margaret Parish and Kathleen (Andrew Flynn) Bauer; sister-in-law, Theresa (Chick) Felice and uncle, Robert Frech of Philadelphia; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special family friend, Jim O’Connor and her extended family of friends from Gallagher’s Pub, Pinky’s Restaurant, the Newark VFW and last but certainly not least, her beloved Kitty, Mitzie Ann.

Jackie was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Buck and James O’Neill; grandsons, Thomas Anthony Zeoli and Ryan James Smith; her sister, Geri Baumgart; her brothers-in-law, Marvin Parish and Harry Baumgart.
