Geneva; Loraine M. Luongo, age 42 of Geneva passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday (July 31) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday (Aug.1) at 9:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice 756 Pre Emption Rd. Geneva, NY 14456.

Loraine was born on October 8, 1972 in Geneva the daughter of Bruce and Grace McLaughlin Moore. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1990, received an Associate’s Degree from Alfred State College, Bachelor’s Degree from Keuka College and received her Master’s Degree from Nazareth College. Loraine worked at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center in the Crisis Hotline Center where she loved helping the veterans.
She was a member of the Scrapbook club which she enjoyed very much but most of all Loraine’s children were the most important to her in life. Loraine was involved in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and lived for vacations with her family at the beach.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Luongo; children, Nicholas Luongo and Hailey Luongo of Geneva; parents, Bruce and Grace Moore of Geneva; brother, Bruce (Amanda) Moore, Jr. of Geneva; mother-in-law, Jeanne Salone Nicolo of Geneva; brother-in-law, Sebastian Luongo of Ithaca; sister-in-laws, Michelle Luongo of Rochester, Jeanne (Marvin) Simmons of Rochester, Amanda (Jeff) Clayton of Rochester, Jacqueline (Mike) Hamblin of Geneva, Candace Luongo of Rochester; several nieces and nephews.

Loraine was predeceased by father-in-law, Larry Luongo, paternal grandparents, James and Ruth Moore; maternal grandparents, Edward and Phyllis McLaughlin.
