Geneva; June W. Kuryla, age 94 of High St. passed away on Saturday January 31, 2015 at Geneva General Hospital.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday (Feb. 5) at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in June’s name may be made to Lollpop Farm 99 Victor Road Fairport, NY 14450.

June was born on June 21, 1920 in Geneva the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Ellen Quinn Welch. She was a graduate of DeSales High School class of 1938 and the Freeman Business School. June retired after 29 years as an Administrative Assistant from Hobart & William Smith Colleges.
A Scholarship was established in June’s name at Hobart & William Smith by Stuart and Sari Feldman-Piltch.

June was a member of St. Stephen’s Church and loved spending as much time as she could with her family.

She is survived by her children, Peter A. (Emily)) Kuryla of Canandaigua, Mary K. Hurley of Geneva, Thomas D. (Jean Ann) Kuryla of Geneva and Christine D’Amico of Geneva; grandchildren, Megan (Matthew) Daniels, Amy C. Kuryla, Erin (Henry) Lamborn, Suzanne (Michael) Klein, Sydney Hurley, Hannah D’Amico, Maddie D’Amico, Alyson Feldman-Piltch and Maggie Feldman-Piltch; great-grandsons, Henry and Jack Lamborn; extended family, Stuart and Sari Feldman-Piltch.

June was predeceased by her husband, Donald J. Kuryla; granddaughter, Molly Welch Hurley; five brothers and sisters
