Francis D. “Gail” Parmelee

Geneva; Francis D. “Gail” Parmelee, age 86 of Geneva passed away on Sunday November 30, 2014 at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday (Dec. 9) at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis deSales Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery

Gail was born on May 4, 1928 in Geneva the son of the late Frank and Margaret Carney Parmelee. Gail was a lifetime resident of Geneva where he was the Administrator and Bar Manager of the Geneva Moose Lodge 823 for over 30 years. During that time he attained the Moose Lodge Pilgrim Degree, which is the highest level of the Moose Organization. Was a Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 272 Geneva and the Bishop McCaffarty 4th degree assembly 1501.

He is survived by a sister, Judith A. Tapscott of Geneva; a brother, Gary (Ellen) Parmelee of Florida; several nephews & nieces including, William (Carol) Tapscott, Timothy (Eve) Tapscott, Debra (Chris) Carlson, Patricia (Patrick) Lyons and Harold “Rob” Tapscott. They will always remember him as a kind and loving member of their family. He will always be in their thoughts.

Gail was predeceased by brothers, Clifford “Bud” Parmelee, Earl Parmelee and a sister, Margaret Marino.
