Jesse D. Younger

Geneva; Jesse D. Younger, age 92 passed away on Wednesday November 26, 2014 at Upstate Community General Hospital in Syracuse.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (Nov.29) at the First United Methodist Church 340 Main St. Geneva. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Tae Kun Kim officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Jesse was born on June 1, 1922 in South Boston, VA the son of the late Beverly and Annie Chandler Younger. Jesse served in the US Navy during WWII and retired after many years from the Laborers International Union of North America.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, NAACP and the American Legion.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Debbie) Younger of Fountain, CO, Horace (Ester) Daniels of Geneva, Melvin (Kathy) Bonner of Geneva, Deborah Lewis of Syracuse, Rebecca (Ben) Yancy of Salisbury, NC and Sharon (David) Berry of Syracuse; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Jesse was predeceased by his wife Rosa Younger and a son, Gregory Younger.
