Geneva; John H. Fordon of Geneva, passed away on Wednesday November 6th, 2013 at Geneva General Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Family & friends may call on Monday November 11 from 9:39-10:30 a.m. at McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St, Geneva. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis deSales Roman Catholic Church Exchange St., Geneva. Private burial will be in Washington St. Cemetery.

John was born on July 15th,1938, the son of the late John C. & Dorothy (Kelley) Fordon.
He was a graduate of Geneva High School where he was an active member of the Future Farmers of America. While there he excelled in Oratorical Speaking Contests throughout NYS. He attended Cornell University, enrolled in the Agriculture Program, specializing in Pomology. He was an 8th generation fruit and vegetable grower on Beans's Hill and operated a farm equipment dealership (F & W Equipment Co) for over 20 years. He loved farming, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving family, wife Beverly (DeJohn) Fordon, son David of Middlesex, NY, daughter Beth ( Doug) Pomroy of Pittsford, NY, Grandchildren Jaden, & Jamison Pomroy, and Jordan Jensen, sisters Nancy Johnston of Winthrop, NY, Mary (Ed) Cardinale of Rochester, NY, and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
